Minneapolis Roof Pros began in 2005 when our founder, a former carpenter, bought a used Ford F-150 and a ladder from a pawn shop in Northeast. His first job was a tear-off on a 1920s Craftsman bungalow near Minnehaha Falls, where he found rot in the decking and water that had wicked up the walls. He fixed it with self-adhered underlayment and ring-shank nails, and word spread. Today we still work that way: find the real problem, fix it right, and don't cut corners.

Minneapolis weather is hard on roofs. Heavy snowfall and ice dams form when warm attic air melts snow, which refreezes at the eaves and seeps under shingles. Hailstorms in late spring pelt asphalt shingles, causing granule loss and exposing the mat. Rapid freeze-thaw cycles make small cracks spall into big leaks. That's why we spec materials built for this climate: Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, ice-and-water shield at every eave and valley, and proper ventilation to keep the roof deck dry.
